Heather works as a Behavior Specialist on a Santa Clara County high school campus. She supports students in the Therapeutic Special Day Class Program by collaborating with students, staff and parents regarding a student’s behavioral goals, and by tracking behavioral goals and assisting students when in crisis.
After completing her Masters Degree, Heather spent five years working as a case manager and therapist for court mandated adolescents and their families in a residential drug and alcohol treatment program. She has much experience working with resistant/hostile adolescents, abused adolescents (physical, sexual and emotional abuse) and dual-diagnosed adolescents. Additionally, she is accustomed to assisting youth who struggle with anxiety, depression, inattention, hyperactivity and mood swings.
