Professional Experience

Maria came to CHC in the fall of 2009 with 14 years of experience working with children and adults. She has a wealth of experience in a variety of settings. In pediatrics, she has provided home-based therapy to children from birth to age three. She has also provided school-based therapy in preschools, grade schools and high schools. The population she has worked with includes children with autism, Asperger's Syndrome, genetic disorders, developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, neurological disorders, dyspraxia and others. She also has experience and training in creating sensory diets, The Wilbarger Deep Pressure Proprioceptive Technique, The Alert Program, Handwriting Without Tears, Therapeutic Listening and M.O.R.E. (motor, oral, respiration, eyes).
