Nick Ratcliff

Nick,Ratcliff

Nick has a highly personal connection to special education. Nick deals with the challenge of being neurologically different every day. As someone with Tourette Syndrome and ADHD, he knows what it’s like to fall further and further behind academically and socially. He knows what it’s like to be ashamed of one’s brain. Motivated by helping students discover and exploit their strengths, while at the same time addressing their weaknesses, Nick decided to pursue Special Education. Nick received his BA in Elementary Education and Human Development from Prescott College. Nick is working towards his Masters in Special Education at NDNU. Before coming to Sand Hill School, Nick worked as an award-winning elementary school teacher at Willow Creek School in Prescott, Arizona. He also hiked the Pacific Crest Trail.
