Building Social Skills in Kids with Autism
May 28, 2019
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
We are rarely taught explicit social rules because we are just expected to figure them out. It’s quite complicated and many children on the Autism Spectrum struggle to navigate their social worlds. It might be challenging for your child to make friends, but it’s also likely they are struggling to participate in groups at school and adhere to the social expectations in their different environments because it is overwhelming or confusing. CHC’s Speech and Language Pathologist, Andi Solochek, MS, CCC-SLP and Doctoral Psychology Intern, Nandini Datta, MA, will provide practical strategies you can use at home and in your everyday environments to help you and your child feel more successful in the complex social world.
