DESCRIPTION:Various stressors as well as consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health have impacted increases of anxiety\, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and fears in children and adolescents. Parenting during these challenging times has truly tested parents and kids alike. Join other parents to share concerns and strategies in navigating uncertainty and hope. \nWe are pleased to introduce group facilitator\, Dr. George “Alex” Lazo\, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has centered his career around serving children\, adolescents\, families and caregivers. His previous work in home and school-based settings through play therapy\, has sharpened his competencies in addressing development\, parenting\, social support\, advocacy\, empowerment and mental health education. Dr. Lazo’s close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in various healthcare settings has been crucial in providing effective outreach and interventions for concerns related to stress\, caregiver-child conflict\, LGBT-related and specific issues\, and various challenges impacting mood/functioning. \nSpace is limited for all parent support groups as these are interactive discussion groups\, don’t forget to reserve your spot today! \nREGISTER HERE
