What is Ask an Expert?

It’s a 60 minute virtual, live event via Zoom. The format of Ask an Expert includes a conversation with an expert on the identified topic – the first half of the session will be a conversation focused on some questions around the topic and the second half will consist of questions from the audience. Make sure to register so you can join the conversation and submit your questions!

Session Description

Not surprisingly, the mental health and social emotional needs of our kids right now are greater than ever before. How can we help our kids feel more hopeful and confident in the face of adversity? Research indicates that self-compassion is associated with greater emotional resilience, higher self-confidence, more caring behavior, and less reactive anger. Attend this Ask An Expert session with Tony Cepeda, LMFT (Clinical Program Manager at CHC) and Adelyn Cohen, MS (Doctoral Psychology Intern at CHC) to learn strategies for teaching your kids how to build resilience through self-compassion. Featuring a live Q&A!
