Continuing Education - Emotional Eating: An Introduction to the Treatment of Eating Disorders
This presentation will provide clinicians with the foundational knowledge they need to assess, diagnose, and identify the proper level of care for an individual battling an eating disorder. They will also learn about how to apply this knowledge within marginalized communities and other communities that the eating disorder community at large has historically overlooked.
About the Speaker: Kelli Rugless, PsyD is a licensed psychologist, certified eating disorders specialist, and the Chief Clinical Officer at Project HEAL, a nonprofit organization committed to equitable access to eating disorder healing for all people. Dr. Rugless is also the owner of a bi-coastal group practice, Flourish Psychology, where she specializes in women's mental health. In her work at Project HEAL she has developed an inclusive and comprehensive eating disorder training curriculum for behavioral health professionals in an effort to eliminate the financial barriers associated with this type of training and encourage more clinicians from all backgrounds to join the eating disorder professional community.
