UNIQUE - Understanding Issues in the Queer Experience
March 8, 2018
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
"UNIQUE - Understanding Issues in the Queer Experience” is a 3-hour training focused on basic LGBTQ+ youth culture, language, statistics, best practices, and resources for support and further learning for professionals who work with youth. LGBTQ+ youth face severe obstacles in realizing their potential. Stigma and discrimination still cause varying degrees of harm, from anxiety to homelessness to suicide. Mental health and medical professionals have either a positive impact on the successful development of these youth, or may be part of some of the most devastating harm caused to this population. This class will be led by Anthony Ross, MS. REGISTER HERE.
