Jennifer Kennelly, PhD
Dr. Jennifer Kennelly is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families. She earned her PhD from Palo Alto University (formerly known as Pacific Graduate School of Psychology or PGSP), and during her graduate studies interned at CHC and Giarretto Institute. She then completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Shasta County Mental Health and continued her post-doctoral training at Butte County Behavioral Health. Dr. Kennelly’s training involves both psychotherapy and psychological testing, which she conducts with children, adolescent and adult populations. Upon completion of her dissertation which evaluated response styles on the Rorschach, Dr. Kennelly opened a private practice in Chico, California where she served local families for over 15 years. She recently moved back to the Bay Area, where she is thrilled to be living and working once again with CHC. Her areas of specialty include working with children struggling with trauma-based, depressive and anxiety disorders.
In her free time, Dr. Kennelly enjoys parenting her two teenage daughters and spending time with friends. She is dedicated to a balanced lifestyle that includes healthy eating and cooking, meditation and yoga, and down time to recharge and invigorate. Her favorite time is spent in nature, especially the beach, where she often walks with her two dogs.
