Susan Brown, MA

Middle School Teacher

Sue has enjoyed working with learners of all ages and aptitudes as a tutor, a clinician and classroom teacher. After teaching study skills, media literacy and critical reading and writing skills at Compass High School, she joined Sand Hill School as an English instructor and also became a member of the Thematic Learning Task Force. In addition to earning her master’s degree in special education, she is also trained in Lindamood-Bell Seeing Stars and Verbalizing & Visualizing multisensory instruction. She feels most rewarded when students begin to realize their potential and grow in confidence and determination.

When she is not reading a history book, Sue loves traveling to historic destinations, cheering on the San Francisco Giants and listening to classic rock music.
