Vanessa Angeldones,

MCSP

Practicum Student

Vanessa Angeldones is first-generation Afro-Peruvian woman, and a dedicated fourth-year doctorate student at the University of San Francisco, where she is training to become a clinical psychologist. She has experience supporting children, adults, and families, with a particular focus on helping clients feel seen, understood, and valued. Coming from an underserved community herself, Vanessa is deeply committed to increasing access to mental health services, especially for Latine immigrant families who may face cultural or systemic barriers to care, while remaining committed to serving families of all backgrounds with the same warmth and respect.

She strives to create a safe, collaborative, and compassionate space where children and caregivers can work together toward growth and healing. Vanessa’s approach is grounded in curiosity, respect, and cultural sensitivity, and she believes strongly in partnering with families to build on their strengths. Above all, she is passionate about supporting children in developing confidence, resilience, and healthier ways of navigating life’s challenges.
