How One Teen Handles Anxiety Disorder Through the Pandemic

NPR host Sarah McCammon interviews Mira, a Michigan teen with generalized anxiety disorder, who shares her struggles and coping strategies in this 4-minute podcast.

Even before the pandemic, anxiety and depression were steadily increasing in young adults every year. According to the National Institutes of Health, nearly 1 in 3 teens meet the criteria for an anxiety disorder.  In this 4-minute podcast, Mira speaks candidly about her anxiety and how she has found solace during the past year.

A transcript of their conversation is available on the NPR website.
